The 2nd Annual Texas Roadhouse Explorer Duathlon will be held rain or shine!!!
The first two laps around Mercado Loop will be clockwise. All runners will use the inside lane, as the outside lane will be designated for mall traffic. After completing the first two loops (2 mi), participants will be guided into the transition area (where the run started) where they will transition to their bike. Helmets must be worn at all times while on the bike. No helmet, no race. Participants will exit the transition area and exit onto Avenida Cochise and head east towards Highway 92. Participants will then stay on the bike route and head south towards Buffalo Soldier Trail. Participants will be directed west on St. Andrews Rd and then south through the residential neigborhood until they reach Buffalo Soldier Trail. At Buffalo Soldier Trail, participants will turn west and utilize the bike lane until reaching Avenida Cochise. Once participants reach Avenida Cochise, they will turn east. There will be no bike lane from Avenida Cochise/Buffalo Soldier Tr. all the way back to Highway 92/Buffalo Soldier Tr. When participants reach Highway 92 again, they will repeat the loop one more time. After the second loop, participants will enter where they exited for the bike route, be guided to the transition area, transition for the run, and run two more final laps around Mercado Loop in a clockwise fashion.
PLEASE BRING A HELMET!!!!
